Anxiety & Depression
You do not have to keep carrying this alone. Therapy can help you find your way back to yourself.
When Anxiety and Depression Take Hold
Anxiety and depression can affect every part of your life. You may find yourself withdrawing from the people and activities you once enjoyed, struggling to concentrate at work, or lying awake at night unable to quiet your mind. Perhaps you have been told to "just relax" or "think positive," and you know it is not that simple. These experiences are real, they are valid, and they are treatable.
Many people live with anxiety and depression for years before seeking help, often because they believe they should be able to manage on their own. Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness. It is a courageous step toward feeling like yourself again.
My Approach
I draw on evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral techniques to help you develop practical skills for managing anxious thoughts and depressive patterns. Together, we work on identifying the triggers and thought cycles that keep you stuck, and we build concrete strategies for moving through them. Therapy is collaborative. I meet you where you are and we set goals together based on what matters most to you.
What You Might Be Experiencing
You do not need a formal diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Some common experiences that bring people to my practice include persistent worry or dread, difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much, loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, irritability or emotional numbness, trouble concentrating or making decisions, and a general sense that something is off even when things look fine from the outside.
What to Expect
We begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation where I learn about what you are going through and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. From there, we schedule an initial session to explore your history, your strengths, and your goals. Sessions are available in person at my Narberth office and via telehealth throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The pace and focus of our work together is always guided by your needs.
